Privacy
PaperFriend currently stores accounts, papers, images, settings, and AI training examples in your browser’s local storage. This static version does not send that content to a PaperFriend server.
Clearing browser data can permanently remove your work. Export important documents and backups regularly. Shared-paper links contain a copy of the shared document in the link itself, so only send them to people you trust.
The optional owner-controlled auto-training feature downloads public article introductions from Wikipedia. That text is kept only in this browser’s local training corpus; PaperFriend does not upload papers or account data to Wikipedia.
If a hosted database or analytics service is added later, this policy must be updated before launch.
